In March of 2009, I lost my dear sister MaKah Rosemary Fokum Dinga due to stomach complications most likely from bad water. In her honor, I started a non profit organization MaKah Foundation in hopes to raise money and build 40 pump wells in rural areas in Cameroon, West Africa.
In December of 2009, the first well was completed in the "Bamumbu" village. To date, we are happy to share that we have met and exceeded our original goal of 40 pump wells. In honor of MaKah, I hope their lives will forever be better.
Makah Foundation has now moved to the second phase of its mission by constructing an orphanage in Cameroon. This space currently is home to 12 orphans and is also a resource center for women empowerment programs.
